This design aims to create a covert always-on body camera for marginalized individuals and bystanders. Disguised as an affinity pin or button, the Incident Capture Button records video and audio throughout the day–capturing micro-agressions and bias incidents as they happen.
In a world where social change seems only to happen if there is video or audio evidence, the Incident Capture Button creates a way to record everyday life. When some form of physical or verbal violence happens the button records it. Pressing a button on the back stops all recording–preserving the last five minutes of video for use as evidence in court cases or for release to the media.
